PLUMIER D’OR 2023

Since 1996, the DLF association (Défense de la langue française) has been offering colleges in France and abroad a competition designed to reward 4th grade students who have the best command of the French language. This competition takes place in each institution in January. Mr. Benmannana, French teacher at French International school Bahrain was responsible for registering and training the 7th grade classes that will participate.
The competition refers to the official program of the National Education, and has two parts:
1) Language exercises that will be scored out of 70, including exercises in syntax, spelling, vocabulary, and general culture: This part will be corrected by Mr. Benmannana and Mrs. Manchon; the 3 best copies will then be sent to Paris for the evaluation of the second part;
2) A written expression that will be evaluated by the jury of the Plumier, scored out of 30: this step allows the jury to select the 100 best copies from around the world. These students are all invited on Wednesday 11 May in the afternoon to receive their prize. The first 10 will be offered a few days embarkation aboard a ship of the French Navy.
