On Wednesday, May 24th we visited the Reboot01 school in Bahrain.
9 students interested in coding, coming from grade 10-11-12th classes of the French International school of Bahrain participated in the visit.
We were welcomed by Mr. Yanal JANAL, managing director of the Reboot01 school, who showed us around the premises, large, warm and open whose evocative names are so many winks to digital: “Hello, world!”, “!nn0v@t!0n”, “CTRL”,…
Then Seham, operations and comminity manager, introduced us to the school, the professions for which it prepares and the teaching method which can be summed up in one sentence: “Learning by Doing”
Then it’s time for practice and Code!
Under the guidance of “Mentor” Yaman, Tech associate at Reboot, students will evolve the code of the pong game into javascript.
They test, try, are blocked, start again and naturally find themselves communicating to try to move forward. The layout of the premises gives pride of place to exchanges and collaboration, the essence of the O1Edu system.
But it is already close to 4pm and time to return.
Students slowly and sometimes regretfully detach themselves from their keyboards.
Goodbye Reboot01 and thank you for this great experience.
