Farm to Fork Project – CM1 B

08Feb, 2023
Following our work in science on food and geography on the different spaces
, we left this morning at 8:30 am from the school, for a day outdoors!
Head to the PENINSULA farm
right next to the tree of life where we were very well received. We were able to discover above-ground plantations and animals. We were able to have our little snack on site also before starting the visit.
We left the farm with a salad and a soap made with goat’s milk.
At 11:30 am, we took the bus back to
the AL AREEN hotel
.

We were greeted as “VIP”. We went to the hotel park in a small cart.
On site, a sports
coach was waiting for us for a sports session with a
water supply.

Before starting the sport, of course, we all warmed up.
After this “well-being” session, we joined the room of the
MOMENTO restaurant
where a fully reserved table was waiting for us.

On the program, a balanced and surprise meal! We had all chosen yesterday in class between meat (chicken) or fish.
The children were able to taste fresh orange juice, organic vegetables (from the farm visited) and a farandole of desserts.
Each student left with a stuffed animal, a “granola” muffin and an invitation.
They thought it was a great day. This outing was possible thanks to everyone and it was eagerly awaited by the students. In recent years with COVID, this day would not have been possible.
Eating well and healthy is possible!
This outing allowed the students to have a healthy day (food, sport …) and a healthy lifestyle.
Thank you all for this day and a big thank you to the mothers who accompanied us.
